HC出版商推出"中土世界全套"数字版

国外著名的出版商HarperCollins 公司现在开始销售托尔金数字版的魔戒全套电子书.
据The Bookseller 网报道,出版人透漏,将于4月20日发行数字版的魔戒三部曲,霍比特人和胡林的子女;本电子书中包括地图,如尼文字版的传统印刷体书籍,网上销售为三家网站: waterstones.com,  harpercollinsebooks.co.uk 和tolkien.co.uk.
Waterstone网现在已经开放了专题页面.
数字业务发展主管David Roth-Ey说:"首创电子书有更多意义,影响会更深远".他说:"这显然是广大FANS所期盼的,以电子版来发行托尔金的书是我们长久的目标,我们想打造一套高档次的正版书籍,包括地图和如尼文字,这将会是长远的进程.这要比平常的复杂很多."

The initiative is a simultaneous worldwide publication of Tolkien's titles as e-books. HarperCollins has invested an undisclosed sum in order to secure the global electronic rights to the JRR Tolkien list. The books are in the epub format in the UK and in various other formats in the US, including a version for Amazon's Kindle.
